A peine une semaine après son succès au prestigieux concours de Burghley,
Michael Jung
remporte pour la troisième fois de suite le titre européen (cela avec une fracture à la jambe). Il est le deuxième cavalier après Ginny Elliot (en 1989) à avoir remporté trois titres avec trois chevaux différents. Il est également le premier cavalier, champion du monde, champion olympique et champion d'Europe en titre.
